Meet Oma, the intuitive copywriter behind Soulful Copy

3 min read

Ten years behind the camera, and I'm officially done playing small. This next season of my business is all about bold women building bold things, and Oma is exactly that. Omawattie, who most people know as Oma, is launching her copywriting business, Oma Writes, and I had the honor of capturing her brand images for this brand-new chapter.

Oma is an intuitive copywriter. She blends intuition with strategy to write words that feel aligned and actually convert. She serves coaches and holistic business owners who want their message to sound like them and still bring in paying clients. If you've ever stared at a blank "About" page and felt stuck, she's the woman you want in your corner.

She took a leap most people only talk about, and she did it with her whole heart. Go show her some love on Instagram at @swiftwiththewords_ and on her website at soulfulcopy.me.

From first-session nerves to falling in love with her images

This was Oma's very first brand session, and she showed up a little nervous. Honestly, that's so normal. Most of my clients tell me they're not "photo people" before we start.

That's exactly where I love to meet women. After a decade of doing this, I'm not here for stiff poses, fake smiles, or snobby photographer energy. Great photos start with how you feel. So we slowed down, laughed a lot, and I gave her gentle direction the whole way through. I read the energy in the room, hold space without judgment, and cheer my clients on like I'm their number one fan, because I am.

Somewhere along the way, the nerves melted. Oma started moving freely, playing with the light, and owning every frame. When her gallery came back, she absolutely loved it. Watching a woman see herself as the confident CEO she already is? That's the part I'll never get tired of.

An outdoor brand session at Commons Ford Ranch

We shot Oma's session at Commons Ford Ranch Park in Austin, Texas. Its open meadows, trees, and soft natural light were the perfect match for an intuitive, soul-led brand like hers. Nature photos feel grounded and real, which is exactly how her copy feels to her clients.

Oma brought two outfits, which gave her a range of looks for her website, social media, and launch content.

If you're dreaming of an outdoor brand session in Austin, Commons Ford Ranch is one of my favorite spots for a natural, earthy feel.

Done playing small: why brand photos matter when you launch

When you start a business, your images walk into the room before you do. Your dream client lands on your website or Instagram and decides in seconds whether you're the real deal. Blurry selfies and outdated headshots tell her you're still hiding.

For service providers like copywriters, coaches, and holistic practitioners, people buy you. Brand photos let your future clients see who you are, feel your energy, and picture working with you. That's how a launch goes from "new business" to "she's the real deal."

Oma now has a full gallery of images that match the heart of her work, ready for her website, launch announcements, and months of social content. That's what it looks like to stop playing small and start showing up like you mean it.
